Rony: Watch You Fall was originally written as a test song. We had just finished building our recording studio and wanted to try it all out so we recorded demo what later became WYF. I listened to a lot of Deftones that time so that was probably a main inspiration for this song. First thing that i’ve had was the opening riff witch remained only twice in the final version (before the first chorus and at the very end) When we finished the first demo we jammed the song many times with the band and came up with idea mixing 3/4 and 4/4 and changed the whole song. Once we played it live and I didn’t liked it so we have changed it whole again and i think that this is the best version of the song. For better inspiration I experimented with tuning. Normally we use whole step down tuning (D G C F A D), but for this one lowest string was tuned to A ( A G C F A D).
AJ: Lyrics were written by AJ and Martin when we were both angry at lot of things that were happening in our lives. We felt like we need to get it out as raw as it gets. Watch You Fall has probably angriest and most aggressive lyrics in the album.
